What is Microneedling With Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF)

Microneedling is collagen induction therapy, a minimally invasive procedure that uses small needles to prick or poke tiny holes into the skin. The purpose of the procedure is to cause the body to generate new collagen and skin tissue for a rejuvenated, smoother, firmer, and more toned and evenly textured skin.

Microneedling with PRF offers a range of benefits for men and women that are looking to harness the body's natural healing process to provide effective rejuvenation. Combining effective dermal fillers alongside the natural power of PRF and microneedling procedures can give you that comprehensive facelift you truly are trying to achieve.

WHAT IS PLATELET-RICH FIBRIN (PRF)

PRF is an advanced form of PRP (platelet-rich plasma therapy) but contains a higher concentration of fibrin, white blood cells, and platelets. Made up of a blood concentrate that includes white blood cells, platelets, growth factors, and stem cells, PRF encourages skin regeneration and reverse signs of aging naturally

PRF pairs well with microneedling and can also be combined with dermal fillers to supercharge the fill process. When injected into specific areas with a dermal pen, it regenerates tissue, smoothes and tightens skin, softens wrinkles, brightens skin tone, and enhances elasticity.

WHAT DOES MICRONEEDLING WITH PRF TREAT?

The "Microneedling Procedure" builds collagen, treats fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, acne scars, surgical scars, pore size, and many others.

HOW DOES PRF DIFFER FROM TRADITIONAL PRP?

PRF is Widely regarded as the second-generation version of PRP therapy and has a higher concentration of blood platelets, fibrin, and white blood cells. Platelet-Rich Fibrin has a small percentage of stem cells, which is not available in traditional PRP therapy. This procedure is 100% natural with zero additives, unlike PRP.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE PROCEDURE?

Before the treatment commences, a special numbing cream is applied to the affected area for a couple of minutes. Once the area is numb, the cream is removed while the skin is prepped for the main treatment. The microneedling procedure itself takes about 20 to 30 minutes to complete.

To prepare for a PRF procedure, blood is drawn from the patient and the sample is placed in a sterile chamber. It is later spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the other blood cells. Later on, PRF is then applied topically during the microneedling procedure.

After the physician topically applies the PRF Concentrate to the treatment area, the nutrient-rich serum is allowed to penetrate deep into the layers of your skin through the different microchannels created by the Skinpen.
